Assam Public Service Commission has released the official notification of Combined Competitive Examination, 2020 [APSC CCE 2020] for the recruitment of 331 vacancies of ACS, APS, Superintendent of Taxes, District Transport Officer, Labour Inspector, Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Excise, Block Development Officer, Asstt. APSC CCE 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

    • Education Qualification – The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government.
    • Nationality – The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
    • Age Limit – The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age on 01.01.2020. The upper age limit is relaxable – 
      (i) By 5 years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
      (ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.
      (iii) For persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidates.

Note: Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their applications. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination for eligibility on the closing date of submission of application need not apply.

APSC CCE 2020 Examination Centres:

    • The centres for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination are- BARPETA, BONGAIGAON, BISWANATH CHARIALI, DHEMAJI, DHUBRI, DIBRUGARH, DIPHU, GOALPARA, GOLAGHAT, GUWAHATI, HAFLONG, HAMREN, HATSINGIMARI, HOJAI, JORHAT, KAJALGAON, KARIMGANJ, KOKRAJHAR, MAJULI, MANGALDOI, MORIGAON, MUSHALPUR, NAGAON, NALBARI, NORTH LAKHIMPUR, SILCHAR, SIVASAGAR, SONARI, TEZPUR, TINSUKIA AND UDALGURI.
    • The Combined Competitive (Main) Examination will be held in GUWAHATI only.

APSC CCE 2020 Selection Process:

The Combined Competitive Examination consists of two successive stages:-
(i) The Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
(ii) The Main Examination (written & interview)

Application Fee For APSC CCE 2020:

For application fee of APSC CCE 2020 Exam, under the Digital India initiative by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV, a MeitY approved organization, which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 30.00/- + 18% tax = Rs.35.40/- from each candidate. Therefore the fee inclusive of processing fee is as follows – 

    • General/EWS – Rs.285.40/-
    • SC/ST/OBC/MOBC – Rs.185.40/-
    • BPL – Rs.35.40/-
    • PWBD – Rs.35.40/-
    • Women Candidate – Rs.35.40/-

How To Apply For APSC CCE 2020:

Interested eligible candidates will be required to apply for CCE 2020 through the official website of APSC, whose link has been provided in the Important Links section of this article, on or from 10/09/2020 to 10/10/2020 midnight.

FAQ:

Q1. When is the last date of application for CCE 2020 Exam of Assam Public Service Commission?

Ans: 25/10/2020 ie 10th October 2020 is the last date to apply for APSC CCE 2020. The previous date 10th October has been extended to the 25th of October.

Q2. When and how will the admit cards of CCE 2020 Prelims be available?

Ans: The Admit Cards indicating the eligible candidate’s Roll no., venue, and program of the exam will be uploaded in the
Commission’s website, for appearing in the Preliminary/Main examination. The same will be provided in the links of jobsardar.com, therefore candidates may keep an eye on the official website or on jobsardar.com itself.

Q3. What are the permitted photo ID cards for prducing in the examination hall?

Candidates must produce a photo identity proof of any of the following in the examination hall-
(i) Pan Card
(ii) Driving Licence
(iii) Voters ID card
(iv) Bank Passbook containing a photograph
(v) ID Card issued by the educational institution where he/she is studying presently
(vi) ID card issued by Government or public sector undertaking.

Q4. What is the examination pattern for APSC CCE 2020 Preliminery Exam?

Ans: The CCE 2020 Prelims Exam pattern consists of two papers of objective type multiple choice questions of two hours duration each. The Paper-I will be General studies I carrying Marks=200 for Time=2hrs of Objective type multiple
choice question paper. While the Paper-II will be General Studies II carrying Marks=200 of Time=2hrs and of MCQ type.

Q5. What is the mode of payment of Application fee?

Ans: The application fee payment has to be in made online mode through Digital India Initiative's Online Recruitment Portal which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 30.00/- + 18% tax = Rs.35.40/- from each candidate along with the application fee. Categories that have been exempted from the fee will have to pay the processing fee only of Rs.35.40/-.
